Southern Californian On Location Employee ------------------ Robert Delaney Hospitalized

I was deeply saddened today by a phone call I received. Apparently, yesterday (June 30th,2010) Robert Delaney was taken to the hospital. He is currently in ICU room 165 @ Los Alamitos Medical Center (3791 Katella, Los ALamitos, Ca).

The facts are still not clear, but Robert is at the moment unconscious. I have been told that Robert has slipped into a diabetic coma. To make matters more serious, Robert is also fighting pneumonia.

I did go and visit Robert last night (July 1st, 2010). Both Eleni and myself sat with him for well over an hour. His vitals looked good (granted I'm not a doctor), he had good color in his skin. And dispite being unconscious, he was responding to voice and touch (evident by the increase in heart beat and minor body movements). Robert did manage to look comfortable, considering all the wires and hoses hooked to him. I am hoping all these signs point to a quick recovery for Robert.

Robert is a great guy, that is constantly under appreciated and picked on.  Only to take it all with a smile on his face. As Jim Fierro put it in a text to me earlier today, "Robert is so cavelier about his condition, that most of us forget just how serious of an issue it truly is".
